About Us

Chadd (George and Jeannie's son) and Ashley Strew, owners and operators of the Republic of Texas Campground, have been married since 2012 and have 3 sons (Brody, Chase, and Cole). They love the ranching industry and living in the beautiful Hill Country. The entire family enjoys and appreciates the beautiful/scenic outdoors, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, skeet shooting, etc. that this ranch life provides.

Chadd and Ashley wanted to share this portion of the ranch with others that also enjoy and can appreciate the beauty and nature of this land and all it has to offer. With this being said, the Republic of Texas Campground came to be.

This campground currently offers 26 spacious sites, 12 of which are pull-through. Included in these sites are both 30- and 50-amp hookups, water, sewage, WIFI, gorgeous sunrises, and sunsets. Other amenities include a pet area, children's playground, fishing, hiking, picnic areas, fire rings, a full kitchen available for special events (located in the office), detached bathroom and shower facilities, ice machine, outdoor and indoor TV, communal area with smoker, gazebos and outdoor games.
